Classes at the Artists League
Karen offers lessons at the Artists League of the Sandhills. Her next courses are:
Exploring Ink
August 24, 2010 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm
This class will explore the vibrant colors and unpredictable nature of alcohol-based inks on Yupo paper. We will look at techniques for applying and controlling ink to create expressive and beautiful paintings. Subjects include abstracts, spontaneous “found” images, and planned representational work. Inks are a perfect way to “loosen up” your painting! Most materials are included in this class, but students are expected to bring their own ink.
Inks on Different Papers

Experiment with your alcohol inks on a variety of surfaces from
Clayboard to Glass Ornaments. Who knows what the day will bring?
Included materials fee covers seven exciting substrates.
